Assistant Professor in the Department of Bioethics and Health Psychology
He studied at the Jagiellonian University (PhD in psychology, 1999). Specialist in disaster medicine – 1998; clinical psychologist – 2004; supervisor in crisis intervention – 2010; psychotherapist, Polish Psychiatric Association – 2024.
In 1991–1992, member of the KBN grant “Cognitive Correlates of Intelligence”; in 2000–2001, Polish representative in the WHO program “Network on Suicide Prevention and Research”; in 2019–2022, participant in the Erasmus+ grant “ELLIPSE GATEKEEPER: Lifelong E-learning in Suicide Prevention in Europe”.
His main areas of scientific and teaching interest include: emotional burdens of people employed in social service professions, human development in the aftermath of adversity, crisis intervention and suicide prevention, and psychometrics.
Member of the Polish Psychological Association and the Polish Psychiatric Association.
