Prodziekan ds. Rozwoju Naukowego na Wydziale Nauk o Zdrowiu Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego. Przewodniczący Rady Dyscypliny Nauki o Zdrowiu. Harvard Fulbrighter (Harvard Medical School Center for Bioethics 2017/18).
Zajmuje się etyką badań naukowych w biomedycynie. Kieruje projektami badawczymi finansowanymi przez Komisję Europejską i NCN, realizowanymi przez zespół Research Ethics in Medicine Study Group (REMEDY).
Stypendysta Komisji Fulbrighta (Senior Award, 2017), MNiSW (2014), the NIH-Fogarty (2009), the Nippon Foundation (2006), Florentyny Kogutowskiej (2005), The International Academy of Philosophy (2005).
Studiował na Uniwersytecie Jagiellońskim (doktorat w zakresie filozofii, 2007) oraz w International Academy of Philosophy w Santiago de Chile (2005). Ukończył także program dotyczący etyki badań naukowych finansowany przez the NIH (2012) oraz the Leadership Academy for Poland (2018).
